A small Texas studio that thinks the ceiling is the most under-loved surface in the room.
We started PivotPro because the ceilings we walked into kept disappointing us. Most of them were rushed. The cornices were ill-fitting. The lighting was bolted on. We thought there was room for a studio that drew it as one piece and built it the same way.
Eight people, all of them on the floor.
PivotPro is intentionally small. Three plaster finishers run the trowel work, two carpenters handle cornice runs and tray builds, our lighting tech wires every cove, a project lead keeps the calendar honest, and the studio designer turns site notes into clear, build-ready drawings.
We deliberately do not subcontract the finish coats. Every project is finished by the same hand it was started by. That is why our installations look the same in year ten as they did the morning we hand them back.
If you are an architect or designer, we are happy to be a quiet supplier behind your drawings. If you are a homeowner, we will speak to you in plain language and come back to fix the one hairline that always shows up after the first winter.
Three principles we sign off on every Friday.
The ceiling sets the room
Wall colour, furniture, art — everything reads differently under a ceiling that is calm, level, and well lit.
Drawn before we cut
We refuse to start a job until the cove geometry, lighting profile, and joint plan are pinned to the wall.
Tidy is part of the work
Dust controls, drop cloths, end-of-day broom-out. A messy site is not a sign of effort, it is a sign of inattention.
One number, written
You hire us at a fixed price. If we discover something behind the old ceiling, we tell you before we touch it.
A decade of Texas projects, in figures.
From single-room remodels in Lakewood to whole-home builds in Westlake.
Since 2011, working only on plaster ceilings, cornice, and architectural lighting.
Almost every household invites us back for another room within a year.
One small crew. No middle management between you and the finisher.
Want to walk a project before you book?
We can usually arrange a visit to a recently finished home in your area, with the owner's permission. It is the best way to feel the difference plaster makes in person.
